We’ve been seeing Samsung shift towards adopting higher resolution cameras in their smartphones – the Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S20+ packs a 64MP camera, while the range-topping Galaxy S20 Ultra had a 108MP lens.
A hefty camera system
To continue their serial leakster Ice Universe shared some new deets he had on the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 20+ and it’ll apparently also come with a 108MP sensor. Accompanying the main shooter is a 13MP periscope lens and a 12MP ultrawide sensor.
It makes sense for Samsung to make use of high-res lenses – after all, they are the ones who made the sensors capable of 108MP photography. The Galaxy Note 20+ will use the ISOCELL Bright HMX module with a sensor size of 1/1.33-inches.
Unmoved by hard times
The phone utilizes a laser focus sensor for autofocus. On top of that the periscope lens is capable of up to 50x digital zoom. Samsung has been churning out a slew of smartphones this year like the Galaxy A31, Galaxy A21s, Galaxy M31, and of course, the Galaxy S20 series; so despite the pandemic and resulting global lockdown, Samsung could still launch the Galaxy Note 20 series on time, which should be around August.
We’ll be sure to provide you with more details on the phones specs and pricing in due time.
