Samsung has again announced a new series of tablets called the GALAXY Tab S series, which could pretty mean the flagship models for the Tab series. Two screen sizes – 8.4 and 10.5 inches – are being announced at the event at Madison Square in New York City. The new GALAXY Tab S series features a super slim design at only 6.6mm thickness with extremely shrunk bezels to make the tablet look really compact for users, Samsung has also introduced the Super AMOLED panels into the GALAXY Tab S series with a jaw dropping 2560×1600 resolution. The GALAXY Tab S series comes in two colors – Titanium Bronze and Dazzling White.

The GALAXY Tab S series will offer a SIM card variant that supports LTE networks and is able to make phone calls, the tablets also share some features from the company’s flagship GALAXY S5, which includes a fingerprint scanner on the home button, the very same perforated back cover but non removable and download booster which combines both LTE and WiFi AC speeds to boost download speeds. Next, the Tab S series will also feature some proprietary software found on the GALAXY Note PRO that we’ve recently reviewed, SideSync 3.0 that lets you mirror your GALAXY smartphone’s screen on to the tablet’s display and Remote PC for controlling your Mac and Windows computer via the tablet.

WiFi only variants of the GALAXY Tab S series will start selling in the US this July, with LTE variants to follow in the coming months. Processors being used in the GALAXY Tab S series tablets are either the Exynos 5 Octa or Snapdragon 800 SoC, which we believeSamsung Malaysia will be bringing in the Snapdragon variant into our market in the next few months.
