When you think that the Moto360 is already cool enough, the Rufus Cuff will blow you away and change the way you think about smartwatches. Rather than a smartwatch, the developers call it a ‘wrist communicator’, which you’re able to browse the web, make phone calls, text messaging and run full apps from Google Play, it sounds like a full fledge Android device on your wrist.

Rufus Cuff started off as an Indiegogo project and has reached a pledge of $164K as of now, it is a 3-inch smartwatch that connects to your Android or iOS device via Bluetooth and runs on an AOSP Android KitKat kernel. The cool thing about the Rufus Cuff is that it is able to work as a standalone device even if there’s no Bluetooth connection available, simply hooked it up with a internet enabled WiFi connection and you can pretty much perform anything on it like an Android smartphone. A microphone is also available for you to make phone calls, Siri and Google Now is also supported on it. There’s even a camera on it for you to make video calls!

Can the Rufus Cuff change the way smartwatches should be? Do you really want a watch on your wrist that does everything that a phone can do? We think it is a very promising concept and a serious contender in the wearables market, we can’t imagine how a 3-inch watch will look like on our wrist and we hope to find out soon. You may buy one at $249 at the source link below and estimated shipping is around September this year.
