Japanese do come up with crazy stuffs all the time, we first have virtual pets, then house robots and now, we have married robot couples and you won’t believe what you are seeing when you hit the play button, this is even more interesting than gay weddings in my very humble opinion.
The ceremony in Japan had about a 100 human attendees that day, and there’s even blessings being given to the two robots – a R2-D2 groom and modeled bride, a marriage kiss is even done to make it complete and the robot groom still requires some human help to kiss the robot bride. After that, a human singer goes up to the stage and started entertaining the crowd while having robot dancers at the back.
It certainly is hilarious, while we knew this was made intentionally I personally won’t rule out the fact that one day robots can in fact become a new type of human species, and hey who know the couple could give birth to a new robot baby? I’m probably now stuck in a fantasy world of robots.
