Raiden V announced for Xbox One on February 25

Missing some plane fighter games from the arcade? Game developer Moss has announced Raiden V, a sequel to the challenging and graphically stunning vertical scrolling plane fighter game of all time, the game is set to be released on February 25 next year for Xbox One in Japan and it also marks the 25th anniversary for the game franchise itself. The game will be available in both boxed and digital download versions, which will cost 7992 Yen ($65) and 7344 Yen ($60) respectively.

Raiden’s prequel was first seen in arcades in 2007 while the PS3 and PC version of it merely got released two years back, the announcement of Raiden V and first release on a modern gaming console would mean that we can expect greater graphics and cloud cooperative play. While developer MOSS hasn’t announced any support for future releases for the PS4 and PC platform, we are hoping that time will give us the answer as its release date gets closer, but lets just pray that the game gets its international debut.
