Another experimental project from Razer that was unveiled this year is Project Hazel, the smart N95 mask that comes with Razer VoiceAmp Technology and a transparent design.
Project Hazel is based off an N95 mask
The smart mask uses the N95 medical-grade respirator protection while adding active ventilators and Smart Pods that allows airflow for better breathing experience. These ventilators are detachable and can be recharged, plus the Smart Pods offers 95% bacterial filtration and has high resistances towards fluid. Razer also says that its ventilators can be sanitised via its wireless fast charging box that has a UV-light interior.

Razer also designed the smart mask to come with a transparent front so others can actually read the mask user’s lips and expressions — it even comes with interior lights that automatically activates when the lighting is dim.
Apart from that, Razer also included its VoiceAmp technology that has a built-in microphone and an amplifier to enhance the voice clarity of mask users. Project Hazel also has two customisable Razer Chrome RGB lighting and adjustable ear loops to comfortably fit different users.
As the mask is still under development, Razer promises that it’ll go through rigorous testing and optimisations based on user feedback. “The Project Hazel smart mask concept is intended to be functional, yet comfortable and useful for interacting with the world, while maintaining a sociable aesthetic.,” says Min-Liang Tan, CEO of Razer.
