Ever wanted to play God of War on your PC? Well, you can do just that very soon as Sony has officially stated that PlayStation Now will indeed be coming to Windows PC.
For those who do know what PlayStation Now is. PS Now is a cloud gaming service that allows paid users to access a selection of original PlayStation 3 titles on either a per-game basis or via subscription. Currently, the service is available on the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation TV, as well as some smart TVs from Sony’s own Bravia line and Samsung’s own SUHD and Smart TVs.
With PlayStation Now set to make landfall on Windows PC, Sony has published the recommended specs for those who wish to run PS Now on their PC. Sony recommends that your PC sports a 3.5GHz Intel Core i3 or 3.8 GHz AMD A10 or faster, 2GB or more of RAM, and runs on Windows 7 SP1, 8.1 or 10. As PS Now is a game streaming service, a minimum 5Mbps wired connection is recommended for the best possible gaming experience.
The arrival of PS Now on the PC has also led to Sony releasing the DualShock 4 USB Wireless Adapter for the PC. Available in early September for a retail price of USD24.99, this adapter will allow you to connect a DualShock 4 controller to the PC and Mac wireless. It will also enable every feature of the controller as well, such as the touch bad, light bar, motion sensors, vibration and stereo headset jack.
PlayStation Now for Windows is expected to launch in parts of Europe soon, with a North American launch following shortly thereafter. No timeline was given as to when PlayStation Now for Windows will be available in Asia.
