Earlier this week, OPPO announced that they would launch their Reno7 series on the 25th of November. Now the OPPO Reno7 series has arrived in China with the release of the Reno7 5G, Reno7 Pro 5G, and Reno7 SE 5G.
Reno7 Pro 5G
The OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G is the highest-end model of the three. It has the best screen with a 6.55-inch FHD AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and 180Hz touch-sampling rate, that peaks at 800 nits of brightness.
In terms of the hardware, the device is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200-Max SoC that is available with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage; also, the smartphone uses a 4,500mAh battery that supports 65W charging.
On the back, there is a triple camera design that features a 50MP main camera, an 8MP ultrawide shooter, and a 2MP macro lens, while the front of the phone uses a 32MP hole-punch design camera. The camera bump is also surrounded by an LED that flashes for notifications and charging that is available on all the phones.
The OPPO Reno7 Pro 5G retails at CNY3699 (roughly RM2,455) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant and CNY 3999 (roughly RM2654) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
Reno7 5G
The Reno7 comes with similar specifications as the Pro, with differences in the display, hardware, and camera. The OPPO Reno7 has the same 4,500mAh battery, but the charging speed is 60W. Another hardware change is the chip; this smartphone uses a Snapdragon 778G instead of the Dimensity 1200-Max. However, the RAM and storage options remain the same.
Other differences also include a smaller display coming in at 6.43-inches and a 64MP main camera on the Reno7 compared to 50MP on the Pro.
The OPPO Reno7 5G is priced at CNY2699 (roughly RM1791) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant, CNY 2999 (roughly RM1990) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model, and CNY3299 (roughly RM2190) for the 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
Reno7 SE 5G
Now the OPPO Reno7 SE is the most affordable option of the series, with similar specifications to the other phone, but has a few downgrades. It includes the 6.43-inch AMOLED display and 4,500mAh battery size that the Reno7 includes, but it differs from the charging, as it only supports 33W charging.
It also uses a Dimensity 900 that is available with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage.
The cameras on the back panel feature a 48MP main shooter, a 2MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth camera, while the front has a 16MP selfie camera with the same hole-punch design.
The OPPO Reno7 SE 5G costs CNY2199 (roughly RM1459) for the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage variant and CNY 2399 (roughly RM1592) for the 8GB RAM and 256GB storage model.
There is no official confirmation for a global release, but we can expect to see this device ship out internationally during early 2022. To see more about these devices head over to OPPO’s China website.
