The OPPO Find X2 series is a fine flagship entry to the Chinese company’s long list of smartphones – and it looks like OPPO is planning on continuing the winning formula with the introduction of the OPPO Find X2 Lite.

The device itself has appeared on OPPO’s Portugal website and it is a 6.4-inch smartphone with a FHD+ OLED display. Unlike the regular Find X2, the Lite version comes with a waterdrop notch instead of a punch hole cutout. You also don’t get curved edges and 120Hz refresh rate.

Over on the back, you have a 48MP main lens, an 8MP ultrawide shooter that also doubles as the macro lens, a 2MP monochrome shooter and a 2MP portrait lens. For selfies, you get a 32MP camera as well. Despite its Lite moniker, it appears that OPPO didn’t take a lot out of the camera offerings, which is good.

But where they did take away from is in the hardware department – this Find X2 Lite comes with a Snapdragon 765 chipset. It does have 5G connectivity, which is a massive plus for a midrange smartphone. You also get 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage with the Find X2 Lite. Despite being an obvious downgrade from its flagship siblings, its offerings are still quite impressive.

The phone will ship with a 4,025mAh battery will support 30W VOOC 4.0 fast charging – it’s not quite the 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 fast charge, but OPPO claims that you can still get 50% of power in just 20 minutes.

The Find X2 Lite will also ship with Android 10 with ColourOS 7 layered on top – but in terms of features, it doesn’t look like it will have dual stereo Dolby Atmos speakers and the O1 Ultra Vision Engine like its flagship brethren

The phone will be available in Pearl White and Moonlight Black; and is priced at 500 Euro; there’s no word on its local availability yet, so we’ll keep you updated when OPPO Malaysia makes an announcement.
