The OPPO A93 adds to the brand’s line of mid-range smartphones alongside the likes of the Reno4 that was launched just last month.
The OPPO A93 differs in that it offers an equally, if not slightly better, camera experience compared to its cousin, all while costing less. The A93 comes with six lenses – four at the back and two at the front. The 48MP quad-camera setup consists of an 8MP ultrawide angle camera, and two 2MP mono lenses.
For selfies, you get a 16MP main shooter that’s accompanied by a 2MP depth sensor. Like the Reno4 series, the OPPO A93 comes with cool features such as the AI Color Portrait mode, AI Night Flair, and 4K videography.
For selfies, there’s AI Super Clear Portrait that makes sure all facial details are retained without the bokeh eating up too much of the subject.
Moving on to specs, the phone packs a MediaTek Helio P95 chipset along with 8GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. If you need more storage, you can expand it using a microSD card of up to 512GB.
The phone is powered with a 4,000mAh battery that supports 18W of fast charging – what’s impressive is that the phone comes with AI Night Charging which uses machine learning to recognize your sleeping patterns, and only charges the phone from 80% to 100% just before you wake up.
The OPPO A93 is priced at RM1,299 and is available in Matte Black and Metallic White. Pre-orders for the phone start today and end this October 9; customers will receive free gifts such as an exclusive umbrella and an OPPO Bluetooth speaker. Visit OPPO’s online store here to pre-order.
