The OnePlus 7T Pro is now officially on sale in Malaysia and is available through their official Lazada and Shopee stores for RM3,399.
Pricy, we know – but with a Snapdragon 855+ chipset, a 90Hz display and an 8GB + 256GB memory configuration, we guess the price is sort of justified. Until you remember that the ASUS ROG Phone 2, with its 120Hz display, 12GB + 512GB memory configuration and Snapdragon 855+, goes for only RM100 more, perhaps the OnePlus 7T Pro doesn’t looks like such as smart buy anymore.
But maybe the rest of its specs could sway you over – the OnePlus is a 6.67-inch device that pushes 1440p resolution. It’s got a triple rear camera setup (48MP + 16MP + 8MP) as well as a 16MP front shooter. You also get a 4,085mAh battery that supports Warp Charge 30T fast charging.
It ships with OxygenOS based on Android 10 – meaning this is one of the earliest devices you can get with the new OS in Malaysia. There’s also an in-display fingerprint reader, haptic vibrations, Dolby Atmos enabled speakers, and HDR10+ support for its display.
Compared to the ROG Phone 2, the OnePlus looks to be the more well-rounded phone, so if gaming is not your main priority and want a 90Hz display, you can go for the OnePlus. Otherwise, we say go for an iPhone 11 or a Samsung Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10+ for the superior software.
