One week after OnePlus CEO revealed the design of the OnePlus 7T, the device has officially been launched.
At this point, we already know what the phone looks like – the circular camera module at the back is a hit and miss with netizens so far, the lenses are positioned in a cross pattern and looks a little lacking in cohesion between them and the back panel design.

Over on the front is a 6.55-inch AMOLED FHD display that has a refresh rate of 90Hz, like the OnePlus 7 Pro. The display supports HDR10+ and has a pixel density of 402ppi.

Over at the back is Corning Gorilla Glass with somewhat of a matte finish. Also at the back is the much-talked-about camera module which houses a 48MP main lens, a 12MP telephoto lens, and a 16MP ultrawide lens. Odd to not see a quad-camera setup from OnePlus since many Chinese phone makers are heading that route nowadays. Over at the front is a 16MP selfie shooter too.

Under the hood is where the party’s at – a Snapdragon 855+ powers the phone with 8GB RAM. For storage, you can choose either 128G or 256GB UFS3.0 internal storage. What’s surprising is that the phone comes with a relatively small 3,800mAh battery, considering how large and powerful the phone is, you’d expect a bigger battery. At least it supports Warp Charge 30T – which supposedly charges 23% faster than the Warp Charge 30, and OnePlus says it doesn’t overheat.
The phone ships with OxygenOS based on Android 10 out of the box and there’s an in-display fingerprint sensor. There’s also haptic feedback and dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support.

The OnePlus 7T is available in Glacier Blue and Glacier Blue. The 128GB variant is priced at INR37,999 (RM2,245) while the 256GB variant is priced at INR39,999 (RM2,363) – making this a relatively affordable device for the hardware it packs. It’s currently not available in Malaysia yet, but stay tuned for updates.
