OnePlus typically makes its flagships short lived. This year saw the OnePlus 5T launching barely 5 months after the OnePlus 5 was released back in June. According to a source by GizmoChina, the OnePlus 6 might see a launch even earlier than expected, and it might come to light as soon as March 2018.
As far as dates go, March 2018 is only 3 months away, which means the owners of the new OnePlus 5T might lose out even further compared to OnePlus 5 users. Rumors also point to the OnePlus 6 launching with an in display fingerprint sensor, something which hasn’t been witnessed in the smartphone world just yet. Chinese smartphone manufacturer Vivo has recently been confirmed to be the first to adopt the technology. Coupled with the fact that Vivo, OPPO and OnePlus all share the same parent company known as BBK, it won’t be surprising at all if in display fingerprint sensors are shared across all three manufacturers.
The OnePlus 6 will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset along with up to 8GB of RAM. It should retain the 3.5mm headphone jack as well. With that being said, please take these claims with a huge grain of salt as we are not in 2018 territory just yet. What are your thoughts on an early OnePlus 6 launch?
