Fans have been waiting for the Nintendo Switch Pro for awhile now; unfortunately, the new console released by Nintendo is the Nintendo Switch OLED, not the Pro.
Nintendo Switch OLED – just a different screen?
As suggested by its name, the Nintendo Switch OLED is basically a Switch, but with an OLED display. However, it’s also larger than the Switch and Switch Lite, featuring a 7-inch screen.
Double the storage!
In addition to that, the new Nintendo console has a wider kickstand at the back and also comes with a built-in Ethernet port. Under the hood, it has 64GB of storage — twice the amount compared to the Switch and Switch Lite — but other components including the RAM and processor stays the same.
The new Nintendo Switch OLED is confirmed to launch on October 8 and will be available at the price of $349 — $50 more than the original Switch.
