Let’s ask ourselves, since the first batch of Android cameras appeared in the market, have you ever rushed to get one or you’re still trusting your old camera with straightforward features? Today, Nikon continues to introduce a new model into the Android camera bandwagon by announcing the Coolpix S810c, a 16-Megapixel shooter which runs on Android 4.2.2 and WiFi Connectivity.

Being the sucessor to the S800c, Nikon has made some improvements such as a larger 3.7-inch touchscren, 12x Optical Zoom and a slimmer body. The camera is also able to access the Google Play Store and do almost everything that an Android smartphone can do, except phone calls of course. Nikon has also included a stereo headphone jack on the camera, which some users can treat it as a portable media player with a proper point and shoot lens.

It’s good that Nikon decided to stay in the game and we hope to see something from them to compete with Samsung’s NX series, given the fact Nikon is still the preferred brand in cameras. The S810c will be available for $349.95 early next month, which we expect a release in Malaysia soon after.
