Today MINI Malaysia unveiled the All-New MINI Cooper Countryman, the second generation of the premium sports activity vehicle (SAV) together with the MINI Cooper S Countryman are now the largest and most versatile models in 57-year history which they have excelled in the areas of space, functionality, athletic flair and premium characteristics.
The newest feature that is unique to the new MINI Cooper Countryman and the Cooper S Countryman, is the addition of the Automatic Tailgate with easy opener and close with out having to press any button. Of course, with the condition that the key of the car is within the vicinity. The Automatic Tailgate works together with the Comfort Access which enables the opening and locking of the doors by a touch on the doors.
Probably one of the more subtle feature that really gives a big impression is the fact that there is a Picnic Bench that can be folded out from the boot of the Countryman, which gives a comfortable sitting area on the lid of the luggage compartment. Both variant of the Countryman comes with an enhanced MINI Connect which offers a wide range of smartphones integrations on the 6.5″ high-resolution screen. The system will have support for Spotify on the screen of the Countryman as well as many other apps that can interface with the screen from your smartphone.
The MINI Cooper Countryman comes with a 1.5 liter 3-cylinder engine and a 6 speed automatic transmission, which has a 192 HP and maximum torque of 280Nm giving it a 0 – 100km/h in 9.6 seconds. The fuel consumption is reduced to 6.0 liters per 100 Kilometers. The MINI Cooper S Countryman comes with a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine, having a peek output of 192 HP and a maximum torque of 280 Nm, clocking its 0-100hm/h at 7.4 seconds reaching a top speed of 224km/h. Fuel consumption is slightly higher at 6.5 liters per 100 kilometers.

The MINI Cooper Countryman retails at RM 239,888.00 and The Mini Cooper S Countryman retails at RM269,888.00, both comes with MINI 4 Years Unlimited Mileage Warranty with Free Scheduled Service and comes in two new colors, Chestnut and Island Blue along with British Racing Green, Chili Red, Light White, Melting Sliver, Midnight Black, and Moonwalk Gray. The Thunder Gray color is available only to the MINI Cooper S Countryman.
