We’ve already heard that Xiaomi is launching three foldable devices this year, but now a leak has revealed that one of them will be called the Mi MIX 4 Pro Max.
Mi MIX 4 Pro Max isn’t using panels from Samsung
We hear the upcoming Xiaomi foldable may be called the Mi Mix 4 Pro Max. China Star is the display supplier, not SDC. SDC will provide an in-folding display later in the year, which will be a little larger.

In our previous article, reports were already suggesting the foldable phone to be in the MIX series instead of debuting a new lineup; this becomes more certain after leaker Ross Young says that the phone will be called the Mi MIX 4 Pro Max. He also mentioned another phone with an inwards folding design that will come later in 2021.
Will Xiaomi bring back pop-up cameras?
We should also be expecting a 6.38-inch display when the MI MIX 4 Pro Max is folded and if it patents were to be realised, the phone may even come with a pop-up camera. Still, we can’t be 100% certain since these reports aren’t official. However, we do know that the phone will have 5G connectivity and dual-SIM support, plus it runs on MIUI 12.
We don’t know when the phone will be available and which country will get it, but we sure hope Malaysia is included.
