Technology is not just limited to your computers and smartphones, but more than that as LG reminds us of all the cool tech you can furnish your home with at its Future of Home Convention held today. The everyday mundane machines that we take for granted has gone through a refresh, with new designs and better tech to make your life easier.
One of the highlights of the convention is the LG 4K OLED TV, that offers a complete package offering high dynamic range (HDR), infinite contrast ratio and slimmer design. Enhanced by high dynamic range (HDR), a technology that provides infinite contrast ratio for unmatched clarity, and realistic colour reproduction. Since images are displayed in vibrant colours with the whitest of white and darkest of black, watching HDR and Dolby Vision videos is a much better experience.
In addition to offering the best in viewing pleasure, the LG 4K OLED TV offers a slick and slim design, with its unique Picture-on-Glass concept – a first of its kind in the market, that can blend into any environment and interior design. On top of that, this TV comes with an integrated Sound Bar speaker by Harmon/Kardon, a famous name in producing high quality audio.
Another product showcased at the convention was the LG Twin Wash, a twin load washing machine that allows you to load two loads of laundry at the same time. Great news for those who tend to pile up on laundry before realising there is nothing left to wear. Other than the front and top loading washers, the Twin Wash system features a space-efficient mini washer in the pedestal, overall cycle times are reduced with two wash cycles happening simultaneously via its separate compartments. On top of that, you can separate your laundry – delicate from regular clothes, whites only from coloured clothes, heavily soiled from normal wear. This way, you won’t have to wash your dirty, smelly socks and jeans with your underwear.
Lastly, LG also showcased the LG CordZero, a vacuum cleaner that features a Canister, Handstick and Hom-Bot. The CordZero Canister is powered by RoboSense, and it actually follows you around when you are cleaning without having to drag a large cylinder around on its hose. As for the CordZero Handstick, it comes with a built-in lithium-ion battery Dual Power Pack, that offers longer usage times for up to 40 minutes of continuous cleaning. As for the Hom-Bot, this little machine has self-learning technology that actually remembers your cleaning history including common out-of-sight locations.
There were other LG innovations showcased at the convention like the SUPER UHD TV, home speakers, refrigerators, top load and bottom load washing machines, air conditioner, dishwashers and many more.
