India is without a doubt one of the biggest markets for Lenovo’s smartphones, with the entry level ones particularly appealing to the Indian consumer market. Lenovo plans to strengthen their position in the country yet again by launching a more powerful Moto E3, dubbed the Moto E3 Power.

The Moto E3 Power was previously a Hong Kong exclusive, but it is clear that India is a potential market for the handset as well. The phone will be available in India starting next week on 19 September via FlipKart, India’s local online store. The Moto E3 Power, though a more powerful device than the original E3, remains as an entry level smartphone when it comes to specs. For starters, the phone sports a 720p HD 5-inch display on the front, a MediaTek MT6735P processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of onboard storage, expandable via a micro SD slot. In the camera department, the Moto E3 Power features an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter, which isn’t too shabby for a device of its standard.

The most notable upgrade that earned the Moto E3 Power its “Power” title is in its battery, boasting a 3,500mAh capacity, 25% more than the Moto E3’s 2,800mAh battery. The phone will ship with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. The India price tag hasn’t been revealed but the phone carries a price tag of HKD 1,094 (RM582.88), so it is likely that it will be priced the same, if not lower. What do you think?
