Kingston has released a new SSD, and this one is tailor-made specifically for the enterprise sector. Meet the Data Center 400 SSD, an entry-level enterprise drive designed for server use in data centers.

Available in 400GB, 480GB, 800GB, 960GB 1.6TB and 1.8TB capacities, the Data Center 400 SSD offers superior quality of service for data center customers whose workload environment calls for sustained IOPS and consistent low latency. The SSD itself features an expanded on-board DRAM acceleration cache that enables high, sustained IOPS to increase performance over a wide range of read/write workloads. Standard and user-adjustable over-provisioning also improves random IOPS performance and endurance while enterprise firmware improves latency and dilvers consistently low data access times under steady-state workload. Rounding up the Data Center 400 SSD is its end-to-end data path protection and firmware-implemented power-loss protection (pFAIL), giving the DC 400 SSD enterprise-class reliability.

The DC400 SSD comes with a limited five-year warranty, as well as free technical support from Kingston itself.
