Instagram is bringing another new feature to the app called Recommended for You which will show you recommended in your image feed based on posts that you liked and accounts you are following. There will be a label above the post that tells you is a recommended post which is similar to how they display ads.
Before this, recommended content will be displayed in the Explore tab but Instagram wants to make this feature more obvious by placing it into your photo feed. The company’s spokesperson mentioned to TechCrunch that the recommended post will only appear when users have gone through their entire photo feed and that users won’t have the option to turn this feature off, but they can hide the post by pressing on the three dots on the top right.
Instagram has been working hard updating their app this year with many features that users are pretty excited for, the update is still rolling out to users on Android and iOS but keep checking your photo feed, as you might see some recommended post for you soon.
