Lenovo’s Yoga line up has continued to expand with two new members announced in IFA 2017, the Yoga 920 is the first convertible laptop to be equipped with Intel’s 8th generation Core processors and sports a 13.9-inch display with 4K resolution, while the Yoga 720 is a 12-inch convertible laptop that weighs merely 1.15kg and comes with an active pen stylus,
As the new flagship of the Yoga lineup, the Yoga 920 is packed with a lot of great stuff, it weighs merely 1.39kg and all thanks to the slim bezels, it is a rather compact and lightweight device, the display supports a 4096 levels of pressure and with the help of the Lenovo Active Pen 2 stylus, users can experience a paper like writing and drawing experience on Windows Ink. The Yoga 920 also has far-field microphones built-in so that you can use voice command on Cortana with up to 4 meters away.
In terms of specs, the Lenovo Yoga 920 will be offered with up to a 8th Gen Core i7 processor, either a Full HD or 4K display, up to 16GB DDR4 RAM and 1TB of SATA SSD storage, the laptop will also sport two Thunderbolt 3 ports and one USB 3.0 Type-A port, it also has a fingerprint scanner that enables a faster and secure login with Windows Hello, Lenovo claims a battery life of up to 10.8 hours on the 4K display model and 15.5 hours on the Full HD display model.
Even though the Yoga 720 doesn’t have the latest internals, it is going to be a much affordable option compared to the Yoga 920, Lenovo is still offering configuration of up to a 7th Gen Core i7 processor, up to 12GB of DDR4 RAM and 512GB SATA SSD storage, the Yoga 720 also has a fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello, a USB-C port, and supports the Lenovo Active Pen 2 stylus. The Yoga 720 has a rated battery life of up to 8 hours, which is rather decent.
Lenovo Malaysia hasn’t announced local availability and pricing for these new convertible laptops, however we should expect them to arrive by fall this year.
