At Lenovo’s IFA 2017 show floor, the company has announced the Moto X4, a mid-range smartphone that comes with dual cameras and Amazon Alexa built-in. Unlike previous Moto devices we have seen, the Moto X4 uses a contoured glass back and a metal frame, which is rather refreshing to look at. In terms of specs, the Moto X4 comes with a Snapdragon 630 processor, up to 4GB of RAM, 32GB of built-in storage, a 5.2-inch Full HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass, and a 3000mAh battery with Moto’s 15W TurboPower quick charging solution.
What’s great on the Moto X4 is that it is the first Moto device to have IP68 water and dust resistance, the front camera will take 16-megapixel stills with a f/2.0 lens and sports a 4-megapixel adaptive low light mode to take brighter selfies, a technique similar to HTC’s Ultrapixel camera, Lenovo is also allowing you to add a layer of animations to your selfies with the help of Augmented Reality. The dual cameras on the back is a standard and ultra wide angle setup, the standard angle lens is a 12-megapixel dual autofocus pixel sensor, and the ultra wide angle lens is an 8-megapixel f/2.2 sensor with a 120-degree field of view. Lastly, the Moto X4 has Bluetooth 5.0 support thanks to the Snapdragon 630 SoC, which can connect up to 4 Bluetooth devices at the same time.
Expect Lenovo to bring the Moto X4 to our shores very soon, as this is a pretty decent mid-range device that is well-suited for local folks, but let’s hope Lenovo manage to nail the right price when it goes on sale.
