Huawei has begun distributing media invites for a China launch event a week from now. The date is set on October the 18th, where the Chinese manufacturer will be launching a new mid range handset for under its sub brand, Honor. After numerous leaks and rumors from last month, the Honor 6X will finally see the light of day next week.
Successing the Honor 5X, the Honor 6X is rumored to sport a 5.5-inch screen in Full HD 1080p resolution. Underneath the hood, the device is expected to be powered by a Snapdragon 625 SoC, based on a recent TENAA certification that has surfaced on the world wide web not too long ago. The phone is also said to come in two RAM configurations of 2GB or 3GB, just like its predecessor. Like the Honor 5X, the 6X will also be featuring rear fingerprint sensor, probably a tad snappier than the 0.5 seconds unlock speed on the 5X.
A drastic change for the better might be the rumored dual camera configuration on the Honor 6X, similar to that of the Honor 8, though there’s no news of a Leica collaboration on this device. A dual setup of 13MP cameras is said to be in the pipeline, along with a standard 5MP selfie camera on the front. If that happens to be true, the Honor 6X might turn out to be the first known dual-cam mid ranger smartphone. On top of that, the handset is also expected to welcome the new USB Type-C port in place of the dated micro USB technology.
Rumor has it that the Honor 6X will be carrying a similar price tag to the Honor 5X. Apart from that, we shall wait till Huawei officially launches the phone, before jumping into any certain conclusions with the Honor 6X. Let us know your thoughts at the comments section below!
