HUAWEI may have lost some of its popularity over the past two years, but that didn’t stop the company from launching its next product, the HUAWEI nova 9 series.
HUAWEI nova 9 and nova 9 Pro skips a future-proof feature?
Consisting of the nova 9 and the nova 9 Pro, this lineup is powered by the Snapdragon 778G chip and has 8GB of RAM with either 128GB/256GB of storage.
Battery-wise, the nova 9 has a larger 4,300mAh battery that supports 66W fast charging, but the nova 9 Pro charges faster at 100W despite housing a 4,000mAh battery.
The pro model can supposedly charge from 0% to 100% in 20 minutes.
Unfortunately, the nova 9 and nova 9 Pro doesn’t have 5G connectivity.
nova 9 Pro gets an extra lens on its larger display
While both phones have 120Hz OLED displays, the nova 9 measures at 6.57 inches and the nova 9 Pro measures at 6.72 inches.
The nova 9 pro also has the added advantage of a 32MP dual-selfie camera; the vanilla variant only comes with a single 32MP lens.
On the rear, both models sport the same camera system — a 50MP RYYB sensor paired with an 8MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor and a 2MP macro camera.
The nova 9 starts from ¥2699 (RM1,747) while the nova 9 Pro starts from ¥3499 (RM2,265.43).
