The HONOR 30S is expected to be launched on March 30 and based on the recent reports, it’ll be equipped with the Kirin 820 5G chipset that has surprising scores in AnTuTu and Geekbench 4 benchmark tests.
The AnTuTu listing revealed that the Kirin 820 chipset has a score of 375,270 as compared to to Kirin 980 chip that scored 397541. However, in its Geekbench 4 test, the Kirin 820 outperforms the Snapdragon 855 and Kirin 980 in the single-core test, in addition to faring a higher score than the Kirin 980 in both single-thread and multi-thread performance.
The Kirin 820 5G is an octa-core chip with quad-core Cortex-A76 and quad-core Cortex-A55. IT will also be the first to feature the Mali G77 GPU that will be faster and more energy-efficient compared to the G76 found in the Kirin 990.
In less than a week, we should be able to witness the debut of the new HiSilicon chip.
