HTC to release smartwatch?

Plenty of HTC fans have been praying and hoping over the years that the Taiwanese OEM will one day release a smartwatch to do themselves proud. And of course, many of these hopeful’s come with rumors as well, and this is not much different.

April is the month of the surprise, according to a source from Twitter. This may be the moment of truth for HTC, its fans and the whole tech-buff community.

Many other OEM’s have had their shot at producing smartwatches. But they are either pricey, not pinpointing any company, Apple, and most of them, if not all, have miserable battery life to that of watches. Android Wear has been adopted by companies such as Samsung, Asus, Huawei and Motorola for their version of wearables and watchOS, of course only by Apple.

HTC’s smartwatch, also reported to be codenamed “Halfbleak”, is said to be ready by February so sit tight.
