Despite the arms race between various manufacturers to roll out their own versions of Google’s latest Android Nougat software, there has undoubtedly been some hiccups at different parts for some manufacturers. We’ve learnt that ZTE has delayed its Nougat software till sometime this quarter due to the software not meeting expectations and standards just yet. It looks like HTC has halted its Nougat rollout to its HTC 10 handset in Europe once again, and this time, it isn’t about bugs.
This happens to be a repeated act as the Taiwanese company did the same approximately two weeks ago. But this time round, the rollout has been “paused” in the EU region, according to a post on Twitter by Graham Wheeler, HTC’s Product and Service Director. Wheeler claimed that HTC is currently looking into a technical issue, hence the “pause” of the rollout in Europe.
We’re not too sure why the halt is only specific to Europe. Just earlier today, Wheeler has announced the Nougat rollout for the HTC 10 in the UK, Russia, the Middle East and Turkey, before announcing the “pause”. Unfortunately, the rollout will only be up and running in February next month, according to another Tweet by Wheeler. Tough luck for European HTC 10 users, don’t you think so?
