Reports are suggesting that HONOR is about to re-badge the Huawei nova 8 SE, meaning it brings with it the super-fast 66W of fast charging capability.
The device with the model number HJC-AN00 was seen on the TENAA listings and packs a 6.53-inch display as well as a MediaTek Dimensity 800 chipset, which is better than the nova 8 SE’s Dimensity 720. The phone has a relatively small 3,800mAh pack, so perhaps that 66W charger may be overkill for a battery this size.
The nova 8 SE has a 64MP quad-camera setup with a FHD+ display. It’s not sure what its HONOR counterpart will pack, but there’s always a chance they may pack the phone with an even better camera system.
The Huawei nova 8 SE costs 2,599 Yuan, so we can expect the HONOR version to cost a bit less. In any case, we’re always happy to see mid-ranges arrive in the market because they usually offer a nice sweet spot in price and hardware – the nova 8 SE is one such phone, so definitely high hopes for the upcoming HONOR device.
