January is an extremely busy month for the tech world, with CES 2024 happening in a few days, HONOR Malaysia is set to continue the momentum with the launch of the HONOR Magic V2 on 16th January 2024 in Malaysia.
The book style foldable has been teased repetitively in the past few months, and what makes it such an exciting device to look forward to is its incredibly slim body profile at just 4.1mm when unfolded and an impressive 231g weight, making it the world’s thinnest and lightest book-style foldable to date.
Despite its slim form factor, HONOR didn’t compromise on the phone’s feature set as it is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset mated to 12GB RAM and 512GB of internal storage. Featuring 6.43-inch external and 7.92-inch internal displays that refresh at 120Hz, its battery capacity remains at 5000mAh all thanks to the use of a dual-cell carbon-silicon battery while supporting 66W HONOR Super Charging.
The camera department of the HONOR Magic V2 has also seen a big upgrade over the Magic Vs, you now get a 50MP main camera with OIS, a 20MP telephoto camera that does up to 2.5x optical zoom, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and 16MP front facing cameras for the internal and external screens.
While we can be certain that HONOR Malaysia will be bringing in the 12GB+512GB storage variant of the Magic V2 like before, the last thing we can look forward to is price, as HONOR tends to surprise when it comes to revealing the prices of its flagship devices like before, the Magic Vs retailed for RM5,999 when it was launched here, and we won’t be surprised if HONOR decides to price the Magic V2 the same.
