Apple’s battle with Qualcomm is further affecting iPhone users as they rush their software updates as an attempt to escape from the sales ban in China.
#iOS 12.1.2 has completely broken mobile internet on my #iPhone8
Even the stock app, whatsapp, widgets, and mail apps refuse to work. Even my iPad refuses to work on the hotspot from my iPhone. @AppleSupport— Subhojit Hazra (@Subhojit_H) December 19, 2018
The new iOS update, iOS 12.1.2 is said to fix bugs with eSIM activation for the new iPhone models and also fix the mobile connectivity in Turkey for the three models but the current problem is that not only is the problems not fixed, users are facing cellular network and mobile data problems. The rushed update was to make some minor changes in the functionality of the iPhones due to legal reasons, but due to the problems the update is causing, users from all over the world are frustrated about it.
@RogersHelps my iPhone X running iOS 12.1.2 sometimes kicks me off LTE & puts me on 3G why

Many users have reported that since the update, they have been getting the “No Service” label on their phones, downgraded mobile data and some had no access to Internet even when their mobile data is switched on. What’s worse is that Apple Support hasn’t been much of a help as their advices to restart the phone and update the carrier settings hasn’t been solving the problems faced by the iPhone users.
Just updated to iOS 12.1.2, thinking it would fix the WiFi & cellular connection on my XS. What’s up, @AppleSupport ? I’ve talked to your people and have done everything they’ve suggested but nothing helps. When are you going to fix these issues? Thanks. #iOS1212 pic.twitter.com/sCqVKIfJww

As Apple was found to be infringing Qualcomm’s copyrights in terms of image resizing and application management, they rushed iOS 12.1.2 update in hopes that the court will not impose the ban of iPhone sales in China. Apple probably knows that issue that the users are facing, as the company has already started on developing the next software update which is iOS 12.1.3, which is probably another update caused by legal reasons, but hopefully the next update can fix the current cellular network connectivity or iPhone users who are solely depending on their one iPhone will be outraged and Apple might just lose their loyal customers.
