Apparently Google is not done with this year after the Google Pixel 3 series as there are rumours that the third addition to the series is in progress and people are calling it “Sargo” and also the Pixel 3 Lite.
As hinted by the term “Lite”, the smartphone will be less impressive compared to the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, as it will come with a 5.56-inch FHD display with LCD screen instead of OLED screen. However, Google is bringing back the headphone jack on this smartphone, a delightful feature for users who are looking forward towards a Google smartphone that they can plug earphones into. There will also be a fingerprint sensor on its back just like the other smartphones in the series though it will be slightly thicker in terms of size.
Now the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL has dual front cameras with 8MP each and 12.2MP rear camera, but the Pixel 3 Lite or “Sargo” has a single 8MP front camera and a 12MP rear camera. The smartphone is also powered by a lower-end processor which is the Snapdragon 670 processor, but it has the similar 4GB RAM though its internal storage of 32GB is less compared to the other two that comes with either 64GB or 128GB storage. Lastly, the battery of the “Sargo” is similar with Pixel 3 where it comes with a 2915mAh battery which might support Quick Charging 4+.
As these information are just rumours and leaks, it is unsure when or if the phone will be launched. However, if the “Sargo” will be launched, it will serve as a budget smartphone in the Pixel 3 series, allowing users to experience most of the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL features without having to spend so much. The price of this smartphone is expected to cost around $400 to $500 and if it launches, it’s expected to be launched in early 2019.
