Currently, Google Translate supports a total of 103 languages, being the translator for over 200 million users every day. Google has just announced a feature from Google Translate that will make your life so much more easier, and guess what, the feature arrives with the latest version of Google Translate.
Introducing Tap to Translate, which eliminates the hassle of having to first copy the text, switch to the Google Translate app, pasting the text and copying the translated text if you intend to reply in that unfamiliar language. With Tap to Translate, users only have to highlight a text in an app and the Google Translate icon, which looks identical to a chat head from Messenger, will pop out at the corner of your screen, allowing you to translate your text instantly. No internet? Google has also got you covered as the new feature does work offline as well.
According to Google, Tap to Translate works in any Android app. With the feature, plenty of time is saved in the process too. Instead of taking a minute for the usual translation plus copy and paste process, it can now be done in a couple of seconds.
