Alongside the HUAWEI Mate 40 series, HUAWEI also unveiled its first flagship over-ear headphones, the FreeBuds Studio.
Intelligent Dynamic ANC
The HUAWEI FreeBuds Studio offers up to 24 hours of battery life and has what HUAWEI calls Intelligent Dynamic ANC. This allows the headphones to automatically adjust the noise cancellation mode in different scenarios for optimal results. There’s also the Awareness Mode to let in ambient sound and a Voice Mode that enhances human voices while minimising environmental noise.
8 microphones, dual-antenna design and dual-device connection
Speaking of which, HUAWEI also boasted eight microphones in the FreeBuds Studio. Six of them are used for call noise cancellation — four outward-facing mics pick up human voices while the two inward-facing mics collect the voice in ear. The headphones also feature a dual-antenna design for wider signal coverage and dual-device connection that can lets it connect to two devices simultaneously.
Quick charge + Smart Controls
Like many devices in the market, HUAWEI made sure to include Quick Charge support on the FreeBuds Studio. It can fully charge in 60 minutes, but just 10 minutes of quick charge will offer eight hours of music playback without ANC. The headphones also have smart controls — the right earned has a responsive area that lets you control music and volume by swiping, double tapping and more.
