Today Fitbit, the leader in health wearable, has just released their new addition to the fitness wearable line called the Fitbit Alta HR. A change from the Fitbit Alta, the Fitbit Alta HR, HR basically stands for Heart Rate, has an advance heart rate tracker which Fitbit is calling Fitbit’s PurePulse, that can help in making more informed decisions on your health and boast an average percent error of 6%. The new device can also give you a better understanding on your sleep patterns explaining to you if you are rested or not through their Sleep Insight section of the app.
Similar to other Fitbit devices, the Fitbit Alta HR can track your calories intake by inputting the types of food that you have taken in through the app, which has also added in Malaysia food for ease on Malaysians to keep track of all the good and sinful food we enjoy everyday. The Alta HR will also continuously monitor your heart rate, allowing you to see how regular activities can affect your heart rate straight from your wrist. By customizing the display on the Alta HR, you can add your resting heart rate, which then can be compared to everyday activities which can lower the resting heart rate to give you a better cardiovascular health.
The biggest emphasize on the Alta HR is that it can measure your sleeping patterns. On the app, there is a section called Sleep Stages, that will show you a graph on how your sleep is through out the whole night. It can measure the time spent in light sleep, REM sleep and deep sleep. It can also measure time awake, which is basically the time spent moving in your sleep or twitching which is considered as restless sleep at high quantities. Through this data, it can advice you on ways you can improve your sleep.
The Fitbit Alta HR is currently available worldwide including the different changeable straps. Straps that were meant for the Alta will also fit on the Alta HR. Sleep Stages will work with the Alta HR, Blaze and Charge 2 devices, and Sleep Insights will be available with all Fitbit devices that can track sleep through the Fitbit app.
