When we reported yesterday that images of the PlayStation 4 Slim has been leaked, we’ve mentioned that it could very well be a hoax. However, it seems that the console is in fact a real thing, as a Eurogamer video shows the console in the flesh.
Eurogamer has since taken down the video, doing so “upon taking legal advice,” but said video has since been re-uploaded to YouTube via a different source. Regardless of the source, one thing remains constant: the PS4 Slim is an actual device and will be announced at the upcoming PlayStation Meeting event.
The console itself isn’t the only thing that is getting a redesign as ZRZ has also uploaded a video that shows what appears to be the Dualshock 4 that will come with the PS4 Slim. The difference between the current Dualshock 4 and the Slim’s Dualshock 4 appears to be the light bar on the touch pad, as well as a fully matte finish.
Speaking of the PS4 Slim, the Wall Street Journal has also reported that the PS4 Slim will be replacing the current generation rhombus-shaped PlayStation 4, meaning that the current PS4 will be phased out soon.
