Coolpad, a Chinese smartphone company has made its presence official here in Malaysia today, the company has teased the message of ‘Coolpad is Coming’ on its Facebook page, which we can finally look forward to a slew of smartphones from the company itself. If you think this is just another cheap Chinese smartphone brand, Coolpad has in fact made itself very well known in the American market, with LeEco having stake in the company, we can expect some pretty decent flagship speced smartphones from the company in time to come.

Based in Shenzhen, Coolpad owns the dual-sim, dual standby patent, which has been featured in most smartphones sold in the Asian market, and it is the first smartphone company to introduce a “dual system” security mechanism in its flagship smartphone back in 2014, where it separates two smartphone systems using two hardware systems, providing a secure smartphone experience. Back in Mobile World Congress this year, the company has unveiled its Changer S1 flagship, which is equipped with a Snapdragon 821 processor and a 4070mAh battery, while featuring acoustic technology from Harman/Kardon and comes bundled with a custom AKG N18 earphone.

Coolpad’s entrance to the already competitive Malaysia smartphone market is a rather refreshing one, and Coolpad should have a launch event coming up soon, expect the flagship Changer S1 and probably a mid-range devices like the Sky 3 Pro and Roar Plus to be unveiled . Meanwhile, follow Coolpad Malaysia on Facebook for more updates.
