While Kingston didn’t have a booth in COMPUTEX this year, it surprises us by having us around in a hipster cafe to show off its latest HyperX gaming headsets and the new entry-level UV400 SSD.
The HyperX Cloud Revolver is the latest hero product in the HyperX gaming headset family, it features a studio grade sound stage with 50mm directional drivers that delivers a wider depth and width for improved audio precision in first person shooter and open environment games, the signature red memory foam and premium leatherette on the ear cups and head bands gives users a comfortable and long duration listening experience, I’ve personally tested the sound quality with my Spotify playlist of K-Pop songs and have find the sound signature to be rather warm, hence I can certainly imagine on how comfortable it would be to listen the booms and gun sounds on this headset in long durations. In addition, the HyperX Cloud Revolver comes with a noise cancellation microphone that delivers crisp audio quality and is one of the first devices to be certified by Discord, a fast growing voice and text chat app for gamers.
Based on the award winning HyperX Cloud II, Kingston’s new HyperX CloudX is an officially licensed gaming headset for the Xbox One, featuring a large 53mm driver the HyperX CloudX will deliver every sound element in the game to the ear which gives gamers an immersive console gaming experience, the headset has in line volume controls for convenience and uses memory foam ear cushions for a comforatble listening experience. If you needed to talk to your team mates, the HyperX CloudX also comes with a detachable microphone that attaches to the 3.5mm jack at the bottom of the left ear cup.
Kingston has also shown us its entry-level UV400 SSD that uses TLC NAND, known as the ‘ultra value’ series, the UV400 is powered by a four-channel controller that delivers up to 550MB/s read and 500MB/s write speed, the SSD is also shock and vibration resistant that makes it more reliable than mechanical hard drives, hence the UV400 is a very cost effective solution to those who wants to upgrade from mechanical hard drive without having to shell out too much cash, the UV400 will come in storage capacities of 120GB, 240GB, 480GB and 960GB.
Last but not the least, Kingston is also releasing its new HyperX Predator DDR4 RAM that features a new heatsink and a 3300MHz XMP frequency.
