Imagine a cabinet in your living room, then a screen comes out of it when you want it, this is LG’s idea of keeping your living room free of a box with display bezels, in the form of a rollable display.
Yep, what you are seeing on the picture is a fully functional display that is set to go on sale later this year, the LG Signature OLED is a 65-inch 4K TV with zero bezels, and what holds it is a 100W Dolby Atmos sound bar disguised as a TV cabinet.
The TV doesn’t just roll up and down, in fact you can have it raised slightly from its case to make it turn it into a “Line Mode”, which you can see the clock, play music, set light moods, and play a slideshow of your pictures. When it rolls down entirely, users can still play music from the sound bar.
Like the rest of LG’s 2019 line up, this Smart TV will come with the latest version of WebOS that supports both Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, there’s also support for AirPlay 2 and Homekit integration just like Samsung’s TV, iTunes is unfortunately left out, which suggests that the latter is indeed having an exclusive debut on its TVs.
No price has been mentioned by LG just yet, but for all we know, you are going to have to pay a fortune for the world’s first rollable 4K TV.
