With Computex 2016 less than two weeks away from now, ASUS has released a teaser video regarding their next line of Zenfones. The 34-second trailer shows a glimpse or two of three ASUS Zenfones which are set to be unveiled on the 30th of May, a day before Computex commences at Taipei.
If not clearly shown be earlier leaks, we’re expecting the three Zenfones to be the Zenfone 3, the Zenfone 3 Deluxe and the Zenfone 3 Max. This time around, we’ll be looking at Qualcomm chips underneath the hood of the Zenfones, plus a handful of MediaTek processors, taking a tiny cut of the cake. This of course, came from a claim made by the ASUS CEO himself, Jerry Shen. This will mean that, ASUS is dropping Intel chips for its Zenfones since Intel has stopped their plans to develop newer mobile processors anyway.
The ASUS Zenfone 2 turned out to be the first known smartphone with 4GB of RAM powering it. For the Zenfone 3 series, it is rumored that they will have fingerprint sensors, and also come equipped with USB Type-C ports. The new lineup is also tipped to sport a camera flash for the selfie shooter, in addition to the standard rear camera flash. Are you looking forward to the next generation of Zenfones?
