Apple to debut new Macs on the 27th of October

A day after Microsoft debuts its new Surfaces, Apple will be holding its own event to introduce the new generation of Macs.

Rumours of a new generation of MacBooks have been going around since August, with various sources mentioning that the upcoming MacBooks may or may not sport an OLED touch screen located above the keyboard, fingerprint scanners, and even a stand-alone 5K display.

A new batch of rumours have also recently surfaced, with Japanese website Macotakara revealing that the upcoming MacBook Pros will be eliminating USB 3.0 and Magsafe ports, leaving the laptops with USB Type C and Thunderpolt 3 ports. Furthermore, the website also claims that Apple plans to kill of the 11″ MacBook Air, although the company will reveal a new 13.3″ MacBook Air.

If you’re looking to get a new MacBook sometime in the near future, you should follow the MacBook reveal event on the 27th of October (28th October locally).
