If you wanted an Apple branded display to pair up with your Mac Mini or Mac Pro, you will be glad to know that Apple could release a more affordable external display as an alternative to RM26K Pro Display XDR.
Apple’s last mainstream monitor is the Thunderbolt Monitor and was discontinued on 2016, and ever since consumers who purchase the Mac Mini and Mac Pro will need to purchase a monitor from other brands to get them work, this will be great news for those who has always looked forward to a more affordable Apple-branded display that’s tailored for the Mac experience.
According to MacRumors, the affordable Apple monitor could come in sizes of 24-inch and 27-inch models, while a 32-inch model is also expected to be in the works as the successor to the current Pro XDR display. Furthermore, the 27-inch and 32-inch monitors are expected to come with LG made mini-LED panels and a 120Hz variable refresh rate.
While we can expect the new displays to have design cues taken from the 24-inch M1 iMac, one thing we can be sure is that these displays would probably still cost way more than regular monitors you can buy off the market, it would be interesting to see what features Apple could pack in these new monitors to make it worth the value.
We can expect to see a whole new line up of Macs later this year, and let’s hope these displays are part of the launch as well.
