Just after the launch of the Nokia 7 Plus and Nokia 1 in Malaysia, HMD Global has made another announcement and this comes as an Android Oreo update for the Nokia 3 which they have promised will come somewhere this month.
This information comes from Product Officer, Juho Sarvikas’ Tweet that mentioned the Android 8.0 update is out on the Nokia 3. The update will come as an over-the-air update but users can also check if the update has arrived early by going to Settings – About Phone – System Update. However, just like all big Android updates, it will be a gradual rollout and not everyone will get the update on the day itself. It will take some time to arrive but nevertheless, it always recommended to download the update using WiFi as it might be big and to ensure you have ample amount of battery before performing the udpate.

The update should also come with the latest Android Security patch which is important to have in this day and age where our data is never secure enough. Good on Nokia to keep their promises and update their previous devices, including their entry-level devices which most companies neglect.
