Yesterday, we’ve reported that Nokia will be announcing a series of new devices on the 26th of February. However, if this GSMArena report is proven to be correct, it appears that one of the devices that may be revealed on that day may have already been shown off at CES 2017.
According to the report, Nokia’s upcoming flagship phone, the Nokia 8, has already been showcased at Qualcomm’s booth. Two such devices were set up on a small shaking platform that is meant to show off the phone camera’s stabilization capabilities.
Sources speaking to GSMArena indicates that the Nokia 8 will be available in two configurations. The first one would come with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, a 24MP OIS+EIS rear camera, a 12MP front camera, either 64GB or 128GB of internal storage space, as well as a microSD card slot. The second is the more affordable option as it comes with a Snapdragon 821 processor, 4GB of RAM, and a lesser camera.
Neither Nokia nor HMDGlobal has come out and confirm that the phones in question are the Nokia 8, so do take this news with a pinch of salt.
