With the RX 480 now out, AMD is gearing up to release two other graphics cards in August. The first is the RX 470, which will shortly be followed by the RX 460.

Specifications for both the RX 470 and the RX 460 has been revealed of course. For the most part, the RX 470 is a toned down RX 480 as it uses the Polaris 10 architecture. Much like the 480, the RX 470 will come with compute pre-emption and asynchronous shaders. That said, the stream processor count and clock-rate has been reduced, with the RX 470 coming with 32CUs and a base clock-rate of 926MHz that can be boosted to 1206MHz. The RX 470 will have 4GB of GDDR5 RAM, 128 TMUs and a TDP of 120W. No price has been given as to how much the RX 470 will cost, but AMD has announced that the card will be available starting on the 4th of August (next Thursday).

As for the RX 460, the card itself will feature the Polaris 11 architecture. This card, aimed at “eSports gaming,” will come with either 2 or 4GB of GDDR5 RAM. The RX 460 sports 14 CUs and will have a base clock-speed of 1090MHz that can be boosted up to 1200MHz. The TDP for the RX 460 is stated to be less than 75W, which means that a standard PCIe slot should suffice for the card. Much like the RX 470, AMD has yet to reveal the pricing for the RX 460. The card will be made available on the 8th of August.
