Just when it seems like Apple is done with 2020, the tech giant decided to surprise its fans one more time with the AirPods Max, the first AirPods with an over-ear design.
The rumoured AirPods Studio is actually the AirPods Max
Reports have initially suggested that it’ll be called the AirPods Studio but well, Apple has officially named it the AirPods Max. If you’re expecting these headphones to only be slightly pricier than the AirPods Pro, then you’re out of luck; the AirPods Max comes with a hefty price tag of RM2,399 — that’s pricier than the PS5 Standard Edition.
There’s something familiar that will remind you of the Apple Watch
Still, the AirPods Max is a premium pair of headphone. It comes with an innovative design that uses breathable knit canopy mesh canopy to reduce on-head pressure and stainless steel headband frame for durability. Apple claims the ear cups are using acoustically engineered memory foam and you’ll also get the Digital Crown on these headphones to control volume and music playback.
It’s almost like the AirPods Pro in another form
Just like the AirPods Pro, the AirPods Max also come with Active Noise Cancellation, but you can also switch to Transparency mode to listen to the surrounding noises. Apple uses 40mm dynamic drivers and also included Adaptive EQ that can adjust the sound based on the fit of the ear cushions to offer better audio experience.
The AirPods Max will come in a Smart Case and charge via a Lightning to USB-C cable. It can offer about 20 hours of battery life and when in its Smart Case, it enters an ultra-low power state that preserves battery charge.
AirPods Max price and availability
