Acer is expanding beyond traditional laptops with the introduction of a new generation of Android tablets and wearable devices designed for work, creativity and entertainment. Leading the announcement are the new Iconia Duo S14, Iconia Duo S12 and Iconia Duo D12 tablets, alongside the Acer AR Vision GR0 augmented reality glasses and the Acer GI0 AI Glasses.

The new lineup introduces Acer’s first-ever 3:2 aspect ratio tablets, a display format designed to strike a balance between productivity and media consumption. Combined with AI-powered features, stylus support and immersive wearable technology, Acer is clearly targeting users who want more flexibility from their mobile devices.

Acer’s New 3:2 Tablets Are Built for Work and Creativity

One of the biggest changes across the new Iconia Duo lineup is the adoption of a 3:2 aspect ratio display.

Compared to traditional 16:9 tablets, the taller display provides more vertical workspace for productivity tasks such as document editing, note-taking and creative work, while still remaining comfortable for video streaming and entertainment.

All three tablets support optional accessories including an Active Stylus, magnetic keyboard and kickstand, allowing them to transform from entertainment devices into portable workstations.

Acer also claims up to 10 hours of battery life across the lineup, while microSD expansion support of up to 1TB provides plenty of room for large creative projects, photos and media libraries.

Iconia Duo S14 Is Acer’s Most Powerful Android Tablet Yet

At the top of the lineup sits the Acer Iconia Duo S14, a premium Android tablet designed for professionals, creators and power users.

The device features a massive 14.2-inch 2.8K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 91% screen-to-body ratio and 100% DCI-P3 colour coverage. The combination of high resolution, accurate colours and smooth refresh rate makes it ideal for content creation, photo editing and multimedia work.

Powering the tablet is MediaTek’s Dimensity 8300 processor running Android 16, delivering enough performance for demanding multitasking, AI-assisted creative applications and professional workloads.

Acer is also positioning the S14 as more than just a tablet. With DisplayPort input and output support alongside dual USB-C ports, it can function as a portable monitor or connect to larger displays for presentations and collaboration.

Additional features include a dual-camera system with a 13MP primary camera and 5MP macro camera, Wi-Fi 6E connectivity, quad speakers and a fingerprint scanner integrated into the power button.

Iconia Duo S12 Brings Premium Features in a Smaller Package

For users who prefer a more compact device, Acer has introduced the Iconia Duo S12.

The tablet retains much of the premium experience found on the larger S14, including a 2.8K OLED display and Android 16, but packages everything into a more portable 12.2-inch form factor.

The display also receives additional enhancements such as nano-texture glass with anti-glare and anti-fingerprint properties, making it more comfortable to use in bright environments.

Under the hood, the S12 is powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7400 chipset, offering a balance between performance, efficiency and portability.

For digital artists, executives and mobile professionals, the S12 could prove to be the sweet spot between power and convenience.

Iconia Duo D12 Makes Productivity More Affordable

Acer is also bringing the new 3:2 experience to a wider audience through the Iconia Duo D12.

The tablet features a 12.2-inch display with a 2400 x 1600 resolution and 90Hz refresh rate, providing smooth interactions for both work and entertainment.

Unlike its premium siblings, the D12 is powered by the MediaTek Helio G99 processor paired with 8GB of RAM, positioning it as a more accessible option for students, casual users and everyday productivity.

A USB-C port and expandable microSD storage ensure users still receive flexible connectivity despite the lower price point.

Acer AR Vision GR0 Delivers a Massive Virtual Display Anywhere

Beyond tablets, Acer is also entering the augmented reality space with the new AR Vision GR0 smart glasses.

Designed for both work and entertainment, the lightweight glasses feature dual micro OLED displays capable of creating a virtual viewing experience equivalent to a 172-inch screen viewed from six metres away.

This makes the AR Vision GR0 particularly appealing for travellers, remote workers and gamers who want a large private display without carrying a monitor.

The glasses support both 2D and 3D content and can connect to Android, iOS and Windows devices via a wired connection.

Despite the immersive experience, the AR Vision GR0 weighs just 69g, making it light enough for extended use.

Acer GI0 AI Glasses Bring Google Gemini to Your Face

While the AR Vision GR0 focuses on immersive displays, the new Acer GI0 AI Glasses are designed as an everyday AI companion.

Powered by Google Gemini, the glasses offer voice-controlled assistance, real-time translation and image analysis directly through a paired smartphone.

A built-in camera allows users to capture photos and videos hands-free, while voice recording functionality can automatically record conversations, meetings and important moments throughout the day.

The GI0 AI Glasses connect wirelessly via Bluetooth and Wi-Fi and work with both Android and iOS devices through Acer’s AspireSync companion app.

Weighing only 46g, the glasses are designed to be worn comfortably throughout the day.

Acer Is Expanding Beyond Traditional PCs

The latest announcements show Acer’s ambition to build a broader ecosystem that goes beyond laptops and desktops.

With premium Android tablets, AR glasses and AI-powered smart eyewear all launching together, the company is positioning itself to compete in the growing market for mobile productivity and wearable computing.

As AI, augmented reality and portable productivity continue to converge, Acer’s latest lineup offers a glimpse into how future work and entertainment experiences may increasingly move beyond the traditional PC.
