MSI Claw 8 EX AI+ Is The World’s First Intel Arc G3 Extreme Gaming Handheld

The biggest announcement from MSI this year is undoubtedly the new Claw 8 EX AI+, which becomes the world’s first gaming handheld powered by Intel Arc G3 Extreme processors. Built on Intel’s first platform specifically optimized for handheld gaming, MSI says the device delivers a major leap in graphics performance while maintaining strong power efficiency for extended gaming sessions.
Designed to compete with the growing number of premium handheld gaming devices on the market, the Claw 8 EX AI+ features an 8-inch Full HD+ touchscreen display with a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, ensuring smoother gameplay across a wide range of titles. The handheld is also equipped with Intel Arc B390 graphics and supports Intel XeSS 3 with Multi-Frame Generation technology to boost frame rates and improve visual smoothness.
Built For Serious Portable Gaming
MSI has redesigned the Claw 8 EX AI+ with ergonomics in mind, introducing more comfortable grips, upgraded Hall-effect triggers and sticks, refined shoulder buttons and a more responsive D-pad.
The company has also integrated a new high-end linear motor that provides faster and more detailed haptic feedback, helping create a more immersive gaming experience. On the software side, the handheld supports Xbox Mode for quicker game launches and seamless resume functionality, while redesigned quick settings make it easier to adjust performance features such as Multi-Frame Generation and frame rate controls.
Additional specifications include up to 32GB LPDDR5X memory, an 80Wh battery, Wi-Fi 7 connectivity, Bluetooth 6 support and dual Thunderbolt 4 ports. The handheld is finished in a distinctive Void Purple colourway and weighs approximately 785g.
MSI has confirmed that the Claw 8 EX AI+ will arrive in Malaysia this July.
