realme has officially launched the realme 16 Pro Series in Malaysia, headlined by the realme 16 Pro+ and realme 16 Pro, bringing flagship-inspired imaging, premium design and powerful performance to the mid-range segment.
Positioned as a new benchmark for “premium mid-range” devices, the series places a strong emphasis on portrait photography, combining high-resolution sensors with advanced AI features tailored for content creators and younger users.
200MP Portrait Master with Periscope Zoom
Leading the lineup is the realme 16 Pro+, which introduces a 200MP LumaColor camera paired with a 3.5x periscope telephoto lens, making it one of the most advanced camera systems in its class. The device supports up to 120x zoom, along with 7x close-ups and 10x stage capture, enabling users to shoot everything from detailed portraits to distant subjects with clarity.
With TÜV Rheinland certification, the camera is designed to deliver natural skin tones, accurate depth and balanced lighting. The FullFocal Portrait Lens Kit supports multiple focal lengths from 1x to 4x, while the ProDepth Bokeh algorithm enhances subject separation for more professional-looking shots.
The standard realme 16 Pro also features the same 200MP LumaColor camera, along with a similar focal length system, ensuring consistent portrait performance across both models.
Enhancing the photography experience further is the Vibe Master Mode, offering 21 custom tones and multiple portrait styles, while AI Edit Genie allows users to edit images using voice or text commands. Features like AI LightMe and AI StyleMe also bring studio-like lighting and creative filters directly into the camera interface.
Premium “Urban Wild” Design by Naoto Fukasawa
The realme 16 Pro Series introduces a new “Urban Wild Design” concept in collaboration with renowned designer Naoto Fukasawa, blending natural textures with modern aesthetics.
The realme 16 Pro+ features an industry-first bio-based silicone back cover, offering a soft, tactile feel inspired by wheat textures. It is available in Master Gold and Master Grey, with a slim 8.49mm profile and refined metal camera detailing for a premium finish.
The realme 16 Pro carries the same design philosophy with options such as Master Gold, Pebble Grey and Orchid Purple, featuring a velvet matte finish that resists fingerprints and enhances grip.
Both devices are built with durability in mind, offering IP69-rated water and dust resistance, capable of withstanding high-pressure water and extreme conditions, and even supporting underwater photography. The Pro+ further adds Corning Gorilla Glass protection for improved drop resistance.
Strong Performance with Snapdragon and Dimensity Chipsets
Powering the realme 16 Pro+ is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, delivering significant improvements in CPU, GPU and AI performance. Combined with LPDDR5X RAM and fast storage, the device achieves an AnTuTu score of up to 1.44 million, enabling smooth 120FPS gaming and responsive multitasking.
The realme 16 Pro is equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Max 5G processor, offering strong everyday performance with an AnTuTu score exceeding 970,000.
Both devices feature a large 7,000mAh battery, providing all-day usage, supported by an AirFlow VC cooling system to maintain stable performance during extended gaming or heavy usage.
144Hz AMOLED Displays with High Brightness
The realme 16 Pro+ comes with a 6.8-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 6,500 nits peak brightness, ensuring excellent visibility even under bright sunlight. It also features 4608Hz PWM dimming and 10-bit colour depth for better eye comfort and richer visuals.
Meanwhile, the realme 16 Pro features a 6.78-inch flat AMOLED display with the same 144Hz refresh rate and 1.5K resolution, delivering smooth and vibrant visuals for everyday use.
AI Features and realme UI 7.0
Both models run on realme UI 7.0, featuring the Flux Engine for improved system responsiveness and smoother animations. AI-powered features include AI Framing Master, AI Recording, AI Translation and AI Gaming Coach, alongside Google Gemini Live integration for enhanced productivity and smart interactions.
