Nothing has officially launched the Phone (4a) and Phone (4a) Pro in Malaysia, introducing a major upgrade to its mid-range lineup with refined transparent design, improved durability, flagship-inspired performance and enhanced camera capabilities including a periscope telephoto lens.
The new Phone (4a) Series continues Nothing’s signature design philosophy while pushing further into premium territory, combining expressive aesthetics with practical AI features and long-term software support.
Refined Transparent Design with Better Durability
The Phone (4a) Series evolves Nothing’s iconic transparent design, now paired with stronger materials and improved build quality.
The Phone (4a) Pro features a slim 7.95mm metal unibody design, making it the thinnest Nothing phone yet. It integrates the camera module and Glyph Matrix seamlessly into the frame, creating a clean, gapless finish. The device also offers IP65 dust and water resistance, along with improved structural strength and thermal performance thanks to a large vapor chamber cooling system.
Meanwhile, the standard Phone (4a) retains a transparent back with a new Glyph Bar and visible internal elements, alongside reinforced materials and IP64 protection. Both models introduce new colour options including blue and pink, adding a more expressive and lifestyle-focused appeal.
Upgraded Glyph Interface with More Functionality
Nothing continues to innovate with its Glyph Interface, introducing a more advanced lighting system across both devices.
The Phone (4a) features a redesigned Glyph Bar with 63 mini-LEDs across seven lighting zones, offering brighter and more precise notifications with up to 3500 nits brightness. It also doubles as a fill light for photos and videos, while supporting progress-based notifications for calls, charging and timers.
On the Phone (4a) Pro, the Glyph Matrix takes things further with 137 mini-LEDs spread across a larger surface area, delivering more detailed and dynamic lighting effects. It also supports Glyph Toys such as battery indicators, timers and clocks, while allowing deeper customisation for notifications and contacts.
Flagship-Level Cameras with Periscope Zoom
Photography sees one of the biggest upgrades in the Phone (4a) Series, especially on the Pro model.
The Phone (4a) Pro is equipped with a Sony LYT700C main sensor and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens with 3.5x optical zoom, offering up to 140x zoom capability — the longest zoom ever on a Nothing phone. It also includes an ultra-wide camera and a 32MP front camera, supported by the TrueLens Engine 4 for Ultra XDR photos and 4K Ultra XDR video.
The Phone (4a) also delivers a strong camera setup, featuring a 50MP main sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, ultra-wide camera and a 32MP selfie shooter. With AI-powered computational photography, features such as AI Photo Eraser, Ultra XDR and custom presets enhance the shooting experience while maintaining natural colours and detail.
Smooth Performance with Snapdragon and Nothing OS 4.1
Powering the Phone (4a) Pro is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, delivering improved CPU, GPU and AI performance, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage for faster app launches and multitasking.
The standard Phone (4a) runs on the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 platform, offering improved efficiency and performance over its predecessor, with enhanced AI capabilities for everyday tasks.
Both devices run on Nothing OS 4.1 based on Android 16, featuring a cleaner interface, improved customisation, floating apps, enhanced widgets and a redesigned lock screen. Nothing is also promising 3 years of Android updates and 6 years of security patches.
AI features such as Essential Search, Essential Memory and Playground allow users to interact with their device more intuitively, while Essential Space now supports cross-platform access across devices.
Bright AMOLED Displays and Long Battery Life
The Phone (4a) Pro features a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution, 144Hz refresh rate and up to 5000 nits peak brightness, making it the brightest screen on a Nothing device yet.
The Phone (4a) comes with a slightly smaller 6.78-inch AMOLED display with 120Hz refresh rate and up to 4500 nits peak brightness, still delivering excellent clarity and outdoor visibility.
Both devices are equipped with a 5,080mAh battery supporting 50W fast charging, capable of reaching 60% in around 30 minutes, while maintaining strong battery health over time.
Malaysia Pricing and Availability
The Nothing Phone (4a) Series is priced in Malaysia as follows:

Customers in Malaysia can pre-order the devices from April 2 to April 9, 2026, with general availability starting April 10 via Nothing’s official channels, Lazada, Shopee, TikTok Shop and authorised retail partners.
During the pre-order period, buyers will receive RM100 off, a one-year extended warranty and exclusive merchandise, while stocks last. Additional launch promotions will continue until April 30, 2026.
